The Student Nursing Association (SNA) at Long Island University’s Brooklyn Campus School of Nursing is a student-led organization. As an active chapter of the National Student Nurses’ Association (NSNA), it supports nursing students and promotes education in this field. While it educates students about current health issues on campus and in the community, it also plays the role of a liaison between nursing students and faculty.
When LIU SNA approached us, it was not particularly satisfied with its existing logo. It needed our assistance with rebranding, not just to present the association in a renewed light, but also to use the logo with customized branded identity items. The aim was beyond attracting eyeballs, it was also to build a strong recall value.
When our design team got to work, its strategy was to go the minimalistic way and use the brand’s colors to good effect. The resultant logo, with a pop of deep yellow and white, draws attention to the association’s name, with a light desert blue gracing the background. Our team also did an excellent job of creating a variety of branded items that include a letterhead, file folders, t-shirts, lab coats, medical scrubs, rain jackets, mugs, and thermal bottles, all displaying the association’s logo in plain view.
